Quordle Unlimited
Four five-letter words at once, nine guesses.
Every guess you type lands on all four boards at the same time, so each one tells you four things at once. Nine guesses to solve all four — then deal another set straight away.
How to play Quordle Unlimited
Four hidden five-letter words, nine guesses, one keyboard. Every word you type is played against all four boards at the same moment, so a single guess returns four separate verdicts — and costs you a row on all four. Solve every board before the nine guesses are gone.
- Type a five-letter word and press Enter. It has to be a real word; anything the dictionary does not recognise is refused without costing you a guess.
- Read all four results before typing again. The same word will usually be green on one board, yellow on another and grey on a third. That spread is the information you are playing for.
- Close out the boards one at a time. A board locks as soon as its word is right, and the guesses it no longer needs stay available to the rest.
What the colours mean
- Green — right letter, right position, on that board.
- Yellow — the letter is in that word, but somewhere else.
- Grey — the letter is not in that word at all.
The on-screen keyboard carries the same information in condensed form. Each key is divided into four quadrants laid out like the four boards, so one glance at the letter E tells you it is confirmed top-left, still floating bottom-right, and dead on the other two.
Quordle strategy
- Spend the first two guesses on coverage, not on winning. AROSE then UNTIL puts ten distinct letters and every vowel in front of all four words. Trying to guess a word on move one is a lottery ticket that costs a quarter of your budget.
- Guess the board you know least about. The instinct is to finish the board you can nearly see, but a guess aimed at your weakest board still passes over the others for free. Save your certain answers — they will still be certain in three moves.
- Watch what a letter rules out, not just what it confirms. A grey on three boards and a yellow on the fourth has effectively told you where to look next.
- Switch modes at guess six. Up to that point you are collecting information; after it, count the boards left against the guesses left and start closing them in order of certainty.
- Beware the -ATCH trap. When a board resolves to a pattern with many candidates — BATCH, CATCH, HATCH, LATCH, MATCH, PATCH, WATCH — do not spend guesses one at a time. Play a word that tests several of the distinguishing letters at once, even if it cannot be the answer.
Down to the last board and out of ideas? The Wordle Solver — narrow five letters down from what you already know.
Quordle FAQ
What is Quordle Unlimited?
Quordle is Wordle multiplied by four. You solve four hidden five-letter words at the same time, and every guess you type is played against all four boards at once. Unlimited means there is no once-a-day limit: finish a round and deal another one immediately.
How many guesses do you get in Quordle?
Nine. Wordle gives you six guesses for one word; Quordle gives you nine for four, which is why the first few guesses have to be spent on gathering information rather than trying to win.
Why is one key on the keyboard showing four colours?
Each key is split into four quadrants, one per board, arranged in the same order as the boards on screen. A key that is green in the top-left quadrant and grey elsewhere means that letter is confirmed in the top-left word and ruled out of the other three. It is the fastest summary of the whole round on the page.
Do I have to solve the boards in order?
No. Every guess lands on all four boards regardless, and a board freezes the moment its word is correct. You are only ever choosing which board your next guess is aimed at, not which one you are allowed to solve.
Does a wasted guess cost me on every board?
Yes. There is one shared counter, so a guess that only helps one board still uses a row on all four. That is the central tension of the game.
What is a good Quordle starting word?
Pick openers for coverage rather than for a lucky hit. A pair like AROSE followed by UNTIL puts ten different letters — including four vowels — in front of all four words before you have committed to anything. Avoid repeated letters in the first two guesses; a double L tests one letter where two would have done.
Do my guesses have to be real words?
Yes. Quordle checks each guess against its dictionary and rejects anything that is not a word, so you cannot burn a row on random letters. Nothing is deducted for a rejected guess.
Are my stats saved?
Games played, win rate and current streak are stored in your browser and shown under the boards. They stay on the device you played on, and clearing your browsing data resets them.
Is Quordle Unlimited free?
Yes — free in the browser with no account, and available as a mobile app for iPhone and Android if you would rather play offline.
