How the Stackdown Solver works

Every Stackdown stack has the same shape — 4 layers, 30 tiles — so there's nothing to describe, just type in what you see. Work through the layers from the top (the one you can already see and tap) down to the bottom, and leave a tile blank if you've already cleared it in the real game.

  • The solver only lists words it can actually confirm are reachable right now — if a letter you need is buried under a tile that isn't part of that word, it's left out.
  • Tap any word in the results to see the exact tap order, marked directly on the stack with numbered badges.
  • Each step also tells you whether that tile is tappable immediately or only becomes available once an earlier step clears the one above it.

Frequently asked

Do I have to fill in all 30 tiles?

No. Leave a tile blank if it's already been cleared in your game — the solver treats a blank exactly like a removed tile and works out exposure from whatever's left.

Why is a word missing that I think should work?

Two reasons: either it isn't in the solver's dictionary, or the letters it needs exist on the board but are physically stuck under tiles that word doesn't use — so there's no legal order to tap them in yet.

Is using it cheating?

That's between you and the stack. Most people reach for it when they're stuck on one word and would rather finish the puzzle than give up.
